14,500 miles later I return. 0 flat tires, 0 accidents, and still alive. As you can tell by my last few entries, I've had enough of this blog and I'm ready to end this blog. I had a blast and now that I look back on it... I'm out of my mind! I can't wait to find out what kind of crazy adventure I will come up with next. Maybe backpacking through Europe! Stopped to get gas and bought chicken. It's like KFC but with a gas station. Anyways, I stayed in Hays for the night and the next day headed to Denver. While I was on my way there I stopped to get gas about a hour out of Denver and the lady told me I should wait because there was a tornado coming down the highway towards me about 40 miles away. I decided to wait an hour and get going.

I noticed I had a oil leak and I needed a new chain so I stopped in Denver but it was Saturday evening and everything was closed until Monday. That means 2 more nights in a hotel and paying a mechanic to fix my bike. I'm glad I'm headed home.

I was expecting more dirt and gravel but it was almost all paved. I was checking my map and some Amish guy in the back of a car asked if I was lost. I said I was fine but then he asked if I wanted to use his high speed internet. I was curious why he had internet so I said I would love to use it but I really just wanted to see his house. I was also curious why he had a black baby with him. I was shocked to see his place! He had 5 guitars, piano, and a recording studio. He turned his MAC on and brought up google map. I didn't need to use it so I pretended to look at it for awhile then chatted with him and his wife. Very interesting couple! They live in Haiti and take care of kids. They were only back to sell their 50 acres of land. It was a little awkward so I hit the road.

I spent all day riding country roads which was about 1/3 gravel. I stopped for the night and paid 45 bucks for a room.  I realized that I was getting low on money and I need to head home. It looks like I will be finishing the TAT next summer.

I left VA and headed to the TAT on a bald tire. I ended up stopping to camp for the night to save some money. It reminded me of being on the PCT. I will be changing the tire and oil tomorrow in Asheville.
