Heidelberg, Germany

Little to my knowledge, i arrived inthe picturesque town of heidelberg the night before thier annual day long ffestival. Market stalls everywhere down the main streets of the town, and every time you turned another corner, there was another temporary stage set up with german and international bands, djs and groups playing!

Corfu, Greece

Corfu is a gorgeous island on the west coast of mainland Greece. Although not part of what people refer to as the Greek Islands, this island of Greece is amazing. Staying at a brilliant hostel overlooking the ocean, with gorgeous sunsets, and about 2 minutes walk from the beach, there was no way we could be complaining!

Beautiful(sandy!) beaches galore and fairly good swell to amuse myself in, I was having a ball. Hiring a moped for a day gave us the freedom to well and truly explore the island, including the smallest of villages with little more than 10 or so houses. Beach hopping, lookouts along the magnificent coastline and some hairy moments when i was in control of the moped, all added up to a fabulous day, ending up with getting lost, but making it back to the hostel just in time for the home cooked dinner provided.

Brugges, Belgium

Bruges in Belgium dates back so many centuries, although the town itself has actually been rebuilt in the 19th century, and although you can tell the buildings are newish, they are all designed and built in the old school style, making the town almost entirely old town and just magnificent.

Belgium, famous for its Fries, waffles and Chocolate certainly didn't dissapoint! Nearby gorgeous old town Ghent was a great day trip, more gothic than Bruges, so with its own identity, .
