Visited Fort San Marcos.,an old  Spanish Fort.The guards have Spanish costumes.Some of the walls are made  of coquina.(shells  and lime)Visited again the Lightner Museum and visited the floor we missed yesterday.Drove to Sun City,Florida.Ate at Sonny's Barbecue restaurant.Stayed at Dr T's house in Sun City,Fla.

Saint Augustine Beach, Florida, United States

Went to the Tourist Information Center. It is big.Joined Old Town Trolley Tours for a city tour.It was raining.The tour company gave us ponchos rain gear.Saw the oldest house,Flagler College and oher city attractions.Visited the Lightner Museum.Saw collections of marbles,shavingmugs,crystals,furniture,etcStopped at Florida Heritage  Museum.Saw the Crackers,early Florida residents..They used whips.Saw home made recreation vehicles made by  ordinary people who  used them for camping  vacation. Ate  dinner at Athena Restaurant (Greek)Walk at the pedestrian street-St.George Street  of  the old town of St.Augustine.Saw the oldest school in Florida.

Passed the TIC of Florida for info and hotel coupons.Drove to St Augustine,Florida.Stayed at Howard Johnson's Hotel in St .Augustine,Florida.It is owned by an Indian,Tour trolley buses  passed it's ground frequently because it has the oldest tree in St.Augustine.Ate dinner at Buffalo Bill's restaurant.Mahi mahi with mango..pepper and onion and fried shrimps.It was raining all day.

Visited the Savannah History Museum in an old train station.The Tourist information Center is there also.The artifacts of the city of Savannah are displayed.Ate lunch at Clary's Cafe of the Book.Toured the Williams Mercer House.The house in the book Midnight at the Garden of Evil.The house has eclectic decor.At the end of the staircase on the 2nd floor is a nice stained glass.There is also a sunken garden.Walk to the Forsth Park and watch the replica fountain from France.With the help of the GPS drive  to the Bonaventure Cemetery outside downtown.Saw the tomb of Conrad Aiken featured in the Book.It is stone bench where people could sit..Saw the Johhy Mercer 's  tomb which is also shaped like a bench.His composition like Moon River,.Autumn Leaves are inscribed in the tomb stone bench.Drove back to the hotel.It was raining hard .Had dinner at Shell House restaurant.Ate boiled shrimp and ;hush puppies.The dining table has a hole in the middle where you throw your seafood discard.

Drove to the Lady and Sons restaurant and made a lunch reservation.Joined the guided city tours by Old  Town Trolley Tours.It was 90 minutes.Savannah has 24 public squares.Lots of old houses,oak trees and spanish moss.Saw the Mercer Williams house of the book -Midnight in the Garden of Evil.Had lunch at Paula Deen's restaurant -Lady and Sons.Paula Deen is a famous chef in the Food Channel.It is a buffet lunch.Ate fried chicken,collared green,mash potatoes,yam,lima beans,black eyed peas,macaroni and cheese,,banana pudding and peach cobbler.Went to the Owens Thomas House and had a guided tour.The architecture is regency.Had ice cream at Leopold's,an old fashioned ice cream parlor with black and white tile floors.(since 1913).Walk to the Central market.Walked at Riverside Street and saw the statue again of the Waving Lady.Walk the Factor Walks  to the old cotton buildings.Take out dinner from Shoney.s .Not good.

Rode the subway to Port Authority Bus station early.Walk to Times Square.Saw a lot of jumbo tv screens.New are big areas in  Times Square for pedestrians with tables and chairs.Walk in the red bleacher like structures of the Same day  Tickets office ( below).The new year ball could be seen with changing colors permanently.A lot of tourists and double decker tourist buses. Checkout the M and M storeSaw the naked cowboy of Time Square.A lot of female tourists of all ages are posing with him.Took the bus to Woodbury,Ct.

took the subway from union square to 5th avenue.attended the tcc meeting.tcc is a club for people who visited 100 countries.the topic is india and presented by lloyd l.it covered all of india.walk to sak's dept sore in 5th avenue.visited the men's store.there was barber shop.there was a dj playing songs in the men's dept.went to barnes and noble book store in union square and bought a book.

went to st francis xavier's church at 11 30 am.heard a filipino sing ave maria.it was good. the public likes it and congratulate him.took the subway to chinatown. it was windy cold.ate a vietnamese sandwich in saigon banh mi bakery.pork is a favorite. ,there is a lot of locals buying.bought hopia,puto ,chicken siopao and cake.saw wo hop restaurant in 17 mott st ,coffee shop selling bubble tea and hong kong station where you select the noodle and toppings,squid balls,tripes,fish balls etc.
