Paris, France

I leave for paris on the 5th and sleep on the airport floor, the next morning I hop on the plane and leave this trip prematurely, I really wish I had an extra year to keep going along with the money to do so, maybe in an other lifetime because as much as I still have alot to see, my next destinations will most likely be the US, Canada, South America, the Pacific Islands, Asia or the middle east(altho that one might wait a bit), wichever I get a chance to go to next. Mayble I'l get to do them all at once from a sailboat while working off my laptop, who knows, so untill my next adventure begins, I would like to thank everyone who made this trip what it was. Now back to a different life, a world away, to study and work.

Special thanks to:
my parents, Nicolas Larabie, Emily and Alex (the 2 newyorkers), Marie-Christine, Will and Zoe, Martin from Roslaire (once again, I feel really bad for loosing your adress, I really wish I could send you postcards. I hope you stumble across this message one day.), Mora, Marisa and Marie-Eve.
I spend the 3 days siting around recovering from what had hapened, and of course, meeting great people. Of wich a nice quebequer (Marie-Christine) and a deaf girl(Marisa). I end up spending a night pertending I was deaf too after people mistook me for a deaf person too because I had taken too long to answer a question, we had a blast and I learnt a great deal of sign language that night.
Marseilles, France

I go to Marseilles and visit at night, I was also lucky enough to find a cheap hotel (20 euros per night for a single room with shared toilet). I went to see a french comedy "Prete moi ta main" definately worth it! the next morning I have a tough decision, do I go back to brussels to visit Marie-Christine or do I stay in suthern france and visit avignon and Nice using Marseilles as my base camp... I go to the bathroom and the instant I open the bathroom door, it is decided. Back to belgium I go. They had a turkish toilet, but a real one, all you had was a bucket of water and a hole... I ended up riping up pages of my journal.
Brussels, Belgium

I spend a fiew days in bruxels at the Vangoh youth hostel (really cheap and prety nice). on the 31st I visit Brugge, a breathtaking town DEFINATELY worth going to, with Kiara a nice Italian I met the night before.

On the first I walk around with Zoe and Will, 2 americans and we go to the Atomium. Word of advice, take the tram there, look at it and leave. Do NOT go in it, total waste of money, you can only go in 4 of the spheres and it is ridiculous. The first sphere has a plaque of why the atomium was built (the 1958 expo to boost the economy), the second one has a clip of the atomium being built, the third one has barbie dolls dressed in suits that people wore in 1958(at this point I am swearing and wondering why the heck I paid 6 euros for this) and last but not least, the fourth bubble has an ice cream bar... wow, what a dissapointment and furthermore, what a waste. That night we spend 20 euros collectively to buy food and end up feeding 12 people with it, what a feast, I have a 1L Jupiler for 1.7$ and after we go buy ourselves an other beer or two (the fact taht they were Bush's doesint help) and then Will and I split a 2L bottle of wine playing drinking chess and some other game that I invented that shal remain nameless. We then proceded to convincing everyone we talked to that we had just finished filming a reality tv show called "Lord of the fly" but that we were still on network contract and that we only got paid after the show had aired so we had to keep quiet. I made sure to keep people hooked by throwing in random comments such as "will, if you dont want to wake up with a scropion in your sleeping bag again, cut it out!". hehe... what a night.
There sitting on the benches, waiting for the same boat as us are the 2 newyorkers!! WOOT!

20-the 19 hour cross ends up taking 26 hours (but at least I am not sick this time, unlike the boat from santorini to athens... stupid fast food). We stay at a youth hostel where I meet a nice Israeli girl, we go to the kitchen to have a beer and nick and the newyorkers dissapear so off I go with her to some outdors bar she heard of. When we get there we see that the reception is as a matter of fact outside, but the actual bar is not.. its in a FREAKING CAVE!!!! so I wind up listening to loud techno music all night in a cave rave and get back to my bed at 830 am.

21- we find a camping right next to the beach, its soooooo warm here, this is great. we visit barcelona and lay on the beach for the next 3 days.
Wonderfull! We celebrate my birthday by eating a 4 course meal across the street from the colosseum where we see the sun set and night lights come on. We spend almost 5 hours eating there.

17- We walk around and finally decide to buy a little burner, suprisingly it only costs 15 euros and the fuel is 2 euros per can at the camping. It was crazy, the regular, in season fare, was of 60-80 euros per night. We also rented a quad and went around the island.
