Yuma, Arizona, United States

We have arrived in Yuma at 3:30 p.m.

The Yuma Balloon Festival begins tomorrow morning, with the first launch at 7:00 a.m. and who thinks we will be there for the first launch? On Saturday and Sunday they launch at 6:00 a.m. We decided we wanted to view these balloons way back in Texas, it was only the day before yesterday that we saw the whole schedule. We hope that we can view them from our campsite that is 7 miles out of town.

The weather here is warm, in the high 70"s today. It is very dry here, that works good on Bonnie's sinus', but, we are getting static shocks all the time.

Marana, Arizona, United States

We found a nice park for an overnight stay. It has nice showers, wi-fi, cable TV, a heated pool and a hot tub. All for only $16.46 a night including tax. This is the cheapest park so far and definitely one of the best. It is getting warmer. Last night we swam in the outdoor heated pool.

Silver City, New Mexico, United States

Silver City seems to be a nice town, there are a lot of small shops open downtown, including a food co-op with a storefront, a bicycle shop, motorcycle shop, etc. There are some old hippies here and a few yuppies too.

Last night we walked into town and had dinner at Nancy's Restaurant, a small Mexican place. It is the same place where Bill used to eat Breakfast on Sunday mornings. In fact, our waitress is the daughter of the waitress who was there 26 years ago.

Today we went for a long ride to the Tyrone Mine, where Bill worked on building the processing plant. Then we drove up into the Gila National Forest, over the continental divide, then back over it again. It was a beautiful drive, although a bit too cold up there for us.

It was cold here last night, our water hose froze.

It was to dirty to use. The ground was covered with little pickers that stuck to my shoes, one even came through my shoe to poke me. Oh well, live and learn.

It was full of ducks, one swan and one white duck with a puff of white down on top of its' head.

There is a Veteran's Memorial next to the C of C office. El Reno, Oklahoma, United States

Free camping with full hook-up at the edge of the parking lot. We had a fun time in the casino, they gave us each a $10 coupon to gamble the first night. We managed to win $52 the first night. On Tuesday it was ladies day and Bonnie received another $10 coupon. We won another $100 on Tuesday. With the winnings, Bill bought a converter to enable us to plug in the computer while going down the road. On Tuesday we took a ride on the scooter, stopped for lunch, and when we came out the scooter would not start. Now we have to get it fixed. Fortunately there was a surplus store next door for us to waste some time hoping the scooter would star if we waited, it didn't. Bill hitchhiked back to the Casino to get the truck, Bonnie waited with the scooter.
Our scooter was built in China and Bill has been unable to get anyone to work on it. Well low and behold the neighbor was a mechanic and said he could fix it. That was Saturday, so on Monday morning, Bill took the scooter to his shop and on Tuesday he was able to fix it. So far it is still running and hopefully will run for a long time now. It was an electrical problem and very hard to find.
