Comleroy road did in fact led (eventually the road goes on forever) to Wollemi National Park. When we spotted the Wollemi National park sign relief poured over us. we (finally) found and were now officially in wollemi national park where wheeny creek is located so we had to be on the right track. The road wrapped itself steeply around and down a cliff. I shouldn’t say road it was more a dirt and gravel pathway that led to the base of the mountains which was………..Wheeny Creek. I must admit it was beautiful down there despite the miserable weather (I failed to mention it was raining, overcast and pretty much doomy gloomy). Where we pulled up to parked we naturally thought the huge tents and such belonged to the camp we were looking for…..but no it did not. A nice man was extremely helpful and told us that wheeny creek stretches out over some distance and for us to take a look around for our friends. We did a once over of the campsite and parked the car deciding it would be better to go looking on foot.We walked and walked passed countless tents which to me was surprising given the weather conditions and it was in vain. We couldn’t find our friend Lily who we had come out here for as it was her birthday celebration.In amongst our search I went off and explored on my own wanting to take photos although rain kept clouding up the lens of my camera and so the photos did not turn out great.We ran into that friendly man again and he was genuinely disappointed we hadn’t located our group yet.An area of Wheeny Creek looked like it belonged to people who had taken up permanent residence here and we did not go searching for our friend in that area as the “looks” we received put us off. There was a really cool native american tent in the very far distance that I wanted to take a photo of but as the people were watching me closely I decided not too This led to us giving up and we would have stayed and camped ourselves had we actually had tents and the weather was more desirable so we jumped back in the car and left. We asked a woman how do we get out of Wheeny Creek as the road we took to get here turns into a one lane road so that seemed risky going back up. She was sooo rude and I simply told laura lets just go we didn’t need to be subject to this womans condescending tone and we both were too exhausted to deal with any more crap. Funnily enough we got out easy enough and the drive back seemed a hell of a lot faster than the drive going there. TomTom managed to lose us several times on our journey back and somehow we ended up in concord - the rain was now torrential and you could barely see out the windows. When we arrived back home it was a relief. What a day the amount of driving we did we could have driven to Melbourne - that fact alone was hysterical. I gave my quick goodbyes and all I had on my mind when I got home was to get these damn boots off my feet and to lie down on my bed

The first instinct we had was to continue driving straight ahead which we did - this was only taking us deeper into unfamiliar territory and we were relieved to see the sign “<i>Tourist Information Centre 400m ahead” only it wasn’t a centre , it was only a map - a very creative map mind you as it was drawn colourfully but failed to tell us where Wheeny Creek was located.. The map further confused us by stating we were in Wollemi National Park (which we later learnt we were not) so as I had no credit and a phone fully charged and laura had credit but a phone that was about to die we traded sim cards so I could log onto facebook and get the location of the campiste. Comleroy road off Bells Line of Road was its simple directionsTomTom failed to compute “Comleroy road” so we hit another hurdle and it was slowly turning a fun roadtrip into a frustrating ordeal. We continued straight in hopes of finding a shop or anyone really to ask for help. We managed to stumble across a roadside pie shop which ironically sold no pies. The helpful store assistant pulled out an actual map (something we needed to have on hand) and pointed out where we were and proceeded to draw out a map for us to follow.Great we were on track again Her written instructions told us to go down bell bird hill until we reach Kurrajong village and once there turn left ,However also on her written instructions was off to turn off into Old Bells Line of Road and to follow that….WTFSo on our way back in the direction we had just come we saw a tiny little street saying “Old Bells Line of Road” so we took it. Only to find out that this road had a very steep descent and the road dissipated into a muddy dirt track and as we both have seen the film wrong turn we turned around promptly. We proceeded to follow the first set of instructions hoping for a better outcome and we found a turn off saying “Bells Line of Road” great we found it and we were on track…………..but I digress far from it we followed the road through the village of Kurrajong only to find ourselves met with the sign “thankx for visitng Kurrajong” Oh no …that wasn’t a great sign where on earth was this road taking us? So we turned around and found wait for it….another road called “Bells Line of Road” so we turned into it and followed it and it simply looped us back onto the what im assuming is the main “Bells Line of Road” . By now laura and I were starting to get over it . How could there be more than one “Bells Line of Road” ?????? By pure luck we found “Comleroy Road” which was off the main “Bells Line of Road” and almost cheered as the website for directions to wheeny creek campsite stated it was located on comleroy road. Driving driving driving and we found ourselves on Blaxland ridge road. Now I was officially pissed off and laura was over it and decided we were going to continue driving straight regardless.I knew we were only going to get ourselves even more lost and pleaded for her to turn around , which thankfully she did It turns out comleroy road forks out into two directions one that continues comleroy road and the other being Blaxland ridge…..OMGSo we turned back onto comleroy and simply followed it hoping it would eventually lead to wheeny creekAnd as we saw our first camp site sign for Wallabeen camp It looked promising…..

We left around 11am for our camping trip to Wheeny Creek located in Wollemi National Park. First mistake was forgetting to bring ipod dock which meant no music. Second thing was laura left her cigarettes on outdoor table, forgot to bring pillow but these were minor thing. third was passing the supermarket 5mins into our trip. Most important we failed to write down the directions of the campsite - stupidity 101 so we put our trust into TomTom.We simply typed “Wheeny Creek” into the TomTom and it started to lead the way. We needed to stop for petrol and get some provisions as we basically we unprepared for the trip. After our stop we were on our way. TomTom telling us “turn left in 800metres” etc etc. I stupidly turned the volume up and couldn’t undo it so we had to endure TomTom’s “Voice”. After an hour and a half (maybe longer) we were on the lookout for a supermarket and luckily found one by chance. I remained in the car while laura went and got us a few things. All the while I was in desperate need of a toilet. Things started to turn pear shape when we found ourselves “in the sticks” no pun intended given our surroundings and when TomTom proudly announced (some 2.5+ hours after leaving) that we had arrived at our destination “Wheeny Creek”. laura and I exchanged confused faces as TomTom led us to two options none of which were wheeny creekOn our left was a road leading somewhere……..On our right was someone’s farmland propertyNow without written directions we were officially lost

Nathan, Kirra and I hadnt anticipated cruising round Sydney harbour on Australia day as we were in the city originally so Nathan and Kirra could look at a few places to live and then we walked around the rocks and Circular Quay to check out the festivities of our national holiday, not that there was much in way of entertainment aside from endless performances on various stages across the rocks and CQ. A plane had wrote "sorry" in the sky and i wasnt sure if it was sincere or a mock joke.We had stumbled across Vagabond crusies by the friendly sales guy enticing us to take a cruise. i immediately deemed it a costly affair until nathan found out it was only $30pp and included coffee and cake. Then Nathan proceeded to pay for the 3 of us to take the cruise.as there was about an hour til the cruise left we decided to get drinks at Opera Bar and feeling like a cocktail i decided to go for what was called a "Shady Lady" and Kirra after reading its contents ordered one too. Unfortunately the drink sounded nicer than it tasted- it was toxic!!! 2 of these Shady Lady's would certaintly see to that you would have a shady morning.The Catamaran was considerably big and we planted ourselves outside, on the upper deck. We ordered ourselves frozen cocktails..which tasted slightly wrong for some reason - far too sweet. The carrot cake was too die for though and i got myself 2nd and 3rd helpings of it.The cruise went past Sydney Opera House, Fort Denison , Shark Island, Watson's Bay and into Middle Harbour before turning around and making its way back into Sydney Harbour via Taronga Zoo, Luna Park etc . It was aboard this Vagabond cruise i discovered Sydney has a nudist beach which we all found out about as we cruised right past it. I was momentarily in shock to see nude people waving at us on this tiny , seemingly secluded beach. who knew Sydney had a nudist beach - apparently everyone but me.....lolThe cruise on Sydney Harbour ended up being the best Australia Day i've had so far
