Anyway, we spend the afternoon setting up the camp and went out for tea {cos we still have no gas and it was absolutely pissing it down); anyway food was gorgeous and authentic and we were joined by two confir,ed bachelors, ha, they thought their luck was in, bless em.

15.09.2008

Oh dear, after a freezing night;s sleep, todqy qll it did was rqin qnd be utterly cold {sorry before i go on, the keyboard is retqrded qnd belgiqn like q big waffle and the q is an a and i cqnt be arsed chqnging them all} however, not ones to be put off we still did a ruddy bloody good walking tour of munich in our ponchos and understood q bit more about the place, and its climate...then we had q very nice beer and lunch in one of munichs beer halls in our newly bought WINTER clothes....due to no gas and even less money, we ha our very own cheese and wine evening in our fridge of a tent...good times, we were each wearing nore layers than a strudel...

16.09.2008

Today the weather was still bloody freezing but we embraced it and went to Dachau the old concentration canp, very worthwhile but extrenely sad at the same time. the rest of the afternoon was spent exploring th ecity further and going out for a very nice tea. A very important decision was made to go to luxembourg the next day and get the hell out of Germany, otherwise known as antarctica...
We just alked round ate chinese (again) and then in the evening another relative took us out to see the banging night life of Leoben, was very good!!!

09-09-2008

So, we said goodbye to the relatives and headed for the small citzy of Graz for the afternoon, after having an out of body experience there due to the tonnes of old people we had an ice cream, this brought us back down to earth! Graz was a very nice city, VERY modern after leoben, so after we had experienced graz we said goodbye to styria and headed for Vienna to conclude our Austrian tour!
Levanto, Italian Riviera, Italy

3-09-2008

So, we drove today to the lovely cinque terre, we set up camp and had a generally chilled out afternoon and a look about Levanto, our base for cinque terre. After searching for some chairs (and failing miserable) we went to the most amazing cake shop ive ever been to and had some amuse bouche before dinner, well good!

4-09-2008

Today we walked through the villages of cinque terre, a twelve kilometre walk starting from one viallge and ending at the last one, very picturesque and pretty tough walking! Good day all round though! So, we went out for a pizza which was very nice (actually our last one in italy!) and on the way home in the dead of the night we went past the back entry of a shop and stole their crates...chairs and table found!!!! Camp is restored!

05-09-2008

Today we went back to one of the villages, manerolla, and did some wine tasting at the top of the mountain in this vinyard. Really good cinque terre wine, i couldn.t resist buying some! For the rest of the afternoon we enjoyed our last look at the sea for a while and sat by a little cove and played cards, very nice! Oh, we had pasta tonight and our gas ran out halfway through, camp dynamics are ruined once again!
Florence, Tuscany, Italy

31-08-2008

Ok, firstly sorry it´s been so long since our update we did write the florence entry but it deleted itself when we were about to submit, not good, we were too mad to continue!

Anyway, so florence, we drove from rome to florence today which was good, a nice short (3 hour) journeY! arrived at the campsite which by the way was in the best location ever, overlooking the whole of flornece on top of a hill. This afternoon was largely spent setting up the camp, getting pissed and playing cards, ruddy good day! evening was largely spent getting drunk playing cards but in the town, we then craved a taste of home so went to find the traditional indian, but hte one we went to was now made into a sushi bar, gutted for us! so, we went for the next best thing of a chinese. Good day, although the memory of florence a little hazy!

1-09-2008

So, our first full day in the lovely city. Holly was extwemely hung over, makes a change cos its usually me who´s the shitty feeling one! So, after holly got a grip we went into the city, we saw some sights, had the most AMAZING lunch, tried some ribollita, typical of tscany, well good...we saw lots of piazzas, they like them in italy, saw lots of leather goods so i bought one and then. So in the evening we went up to the piazale michaelangelo (right next to our campsites) saw the sunset and got some good night shots, then we ended up in the camp bar and had a lovely chilled out night!

2-09-2008

Well, today started off very well...until THE incident...holly woke up and said (as she did every morning) "torze, the pcninc table ain.t guna last past florence", i replied "no, shut up you always say that", then so i decided to sit down on it and do my make up...BIG mistake, too many pizzas have proved this! yes, it snapped, i lollaped about on the floor wriggling with the table on top of me, then we decided to finish the bugger off with a mallet (wer have th photies to prove it). So, after the eventful morning we had a lovely day in town, went to the market and bought some meat and stuff for dinner....more leather goods, more posh shops and more sights, today was a lovely end to a lovely trip to florence!
Rome, Lazio, Italy

28-08-08

Nice change today to not have a massive journey just a swift 3 hours or so to Rome! FOund a gorgeous campsite a few euros more than usual but think we really need it! After seeing how lovely we decided to use the facilities and chill out by the pool for the afternoon. We had a little game - who can get in the pool the quickest - Holly stupidly jumped in half clothed therefore winning - yay - but swiflty got shouted at as you have to have swimming caps on to enter! looked a right fool...
This evening we had a free meal of toasties as we conviently forgot to pay... hard times (I am alright mum honest)! Again very sleepy - busy days are making us very sleepy!

29-08-08

Today we had massive day touring the sights in rome! First stop the vatican city, Pantheon, colosseum, trevi fountain... masses of sights and walking and a really good day! Loving the Trevi fountian. Also after finally finding a disposable bbq to buy we got lots of meat and had a great bbq this evening!

30-08-08

Today back into the city and more sights, spanish steps, more piazzas, more shops... but got to sign off now as were meeting a local! well Torzes Italian friend who's just flown in from Milan.

Ciao!! x x x x
Sorrento, Campania, Italy

24-08-08

Hi all... We kind of started this days blog on the last entry. Today we travelled from Sicily to Sorrento and weàre staying in a small village called Vico Equense. After long drive, just wandered the village and went out for our first of many pizzas in the Sorrento-Naples area. Was gorgeous place and we had a table overlooking Naples bay and Mount Vesuvius. Finished a long day with early night ready for the next few days here!

25-08-08

Today we went to Capri via Sorrento to catch the boat over. Hydrofoil over to Capri with Torzy feeling rather sick. When we got to Capri we decided that it was a good idea to blow basically all of our spends each - as our poor little budget canàt take it - and hire a mini speed boat for two for a few hours to drive around the island ourselves! An absolutely amazing day that nearly resulted in the near death of poor Torze whilst I was behind the wheel and the stupid boat sped up BY ITSELF!!!! beer, camera and torze were all walloping about the front of the boat before we came to a rapid stop after shouts were heard from the front. woops! We drove into the green and white grottos, I realised I have a fear of the sea when cant touch the bottom - boat buying may have to be rethought! Also drvoe through an arch with the fear of insurance claims the whole time...

After the boat trip we explored Capri town. Very expensive shops and lovely views. Later got ferry back to SOrrento and had evening in camp. Should have already mentioned this but the camp were in has nothing but COLD like freezing cold showers cuz we cant afford the tokens for hot water. :( there is no way you get used to cold showers!

26-08-08

Today we went to Pompeii. Very nice, very old and very dusty. Torze has devolped a dust rash which she cant shake off on her legs, hope its not anything serious! Pompeii was very impressive we walked for hours round the ancient city then when Holly's Prada willy had kicked in we got a train to naples and went for the most amazing and cheap meal ever! 14euro for two massive pizzas and a bottle of vino in one of the oldest pizzerias in town! Naples was very rough and ready but nice change after the hordes of tourists! After lots of walking round town and a granita drink Holly was rather ill with the pizzay-lemony-acid concoction... sad times!

27-08-08

Today we went to Positano on the Amalfi coast. gorgeous coastline and very impressive bus journey to it - plus it was free!! good times! In positano we made the most of the lovely bay and the amazing people watching and comical moments that came from watching a water fountain for about 2 hours. Torze could have a new career in filling peoples water bottles from a silly shape fountain! many funny moments were watched. After lovely day we went back to Sorrento and had a meal here - pizza - with complimentary (after we'd asked for it) limoncello! After train back to camp we slept early ready for the next day and leaving for Rome!
