Arrived safe and sound in Oz. Unfortunately my entries into the diary have been poor as I have not been able to access the net much. I had a wonderful time in Fiji - which happens to be the tropical paradise that eveyone thinks it is!

Just been to get my registration for nursing sorted so I can start working as a nurse. Although I must say that I am not really in a hurry to do this yet, but the money will run out if I don't.

I have been baby sitting my nephew for the last 24 hours and he is such a joy - bless him - although my sister keeps reminding me that I am biased!

Anyway off to continue the endless paperwork and chores - such as medical care, banking, tax numbers, job stuff, and many more things that have to be done when arriving for work in a new country. Oh its such a hard life!

Hi, Although the entry saysLas Vegas... I m actually in LA. I just wanted this to show up on my travel map.
Anyway, I am here at LA airport again, having had a onderful time in Vegas. Its so unique.. a city of lights and sins! I bet a total of $4 on the slot mchines and won $15 back - thaats not bad going. I als traveled to the Grand Canyon and flew over Hoover Dam and the Canyon itself. We flew down 4000 feet ito the Canyon in a helcpoter.. It was spectaclar - breath taking. We also took a boat rie along the River Colarado and flew back up. I managed tostay relatively sober formst of the trip so far!
Anyway time is ticking on e internet timer... Off to fiji. Will wrtite frm ther.

Sat here at LAX airport waiting to board my flight to Las Vegas. Very excited. It was a really long night last night as I had to sleep for mny hours in order to be on US time. To make maters worse - I felt ill. But I seem fine this morning and the sun is shining here in LA! Really looking forward to the lights in Vegas and my helicopter trip to the Grand Canyon tomorrow. Finally free of the UK at last!
