Kakadu National Park, Australia

Departure 6am for Kakadu National Park...We meet our driver-guide Debden (?!?!) he's a kiwie... and because you need a 4WD for the NP we've got a massive truck where you can fit 18 people.First stop we go to a billabong (it means always water in aboriginal language) we do a 2hr cruise with the crocs and thousands of birds...To explain, in the north of Australia, you've got two seasons, the dry and the wet. During the wet season, most of the north is not accessible covered by water. Right now it's just the end of the wet season and they start to reopen everything to the public, perfect timing for us!The  we head off to the NP to see aboriginal paintings dating back to 500,000 years ago! and the campsite where we're gonna sleep tonight... One thing wet = mosquitos!!!!In the morning, Debden tells us we're going to swim in water falls today...exciting!Unfortunately, i couldn't go to the top of the water falls because of the fucking knee but Caro went and you'll see the pictures, just amazing! No worries I still got to swim at the bottom of the water falls, sweet!Just before going back to Darwin we stopped in other water falls, smaller but still really nice... When we actually got there, the first people to reach the water said " we saw a snake in the water.." Debden said " no worries, probably a water snake, won't hurt you..." so we all jumped in there! And suddenly Debden spotted a snake in a tree on the side... " Oh that's a brown snake..."For those who don't know, the brown snake is in the top 7 of the deadliest snakes in the country... and this little fella thought it would be a good idea to come and swim with us... :-)Of course we all jumped out of the water in 5 seconds!That was our Kakadu experience and it was great.Back to Darwin, we met all the guys from the tour in the Vic hotel for a free meal and a crazy night, just look at the pictures, Caro will tell you more... ha ha ha !!!

First thing when you get out of the plane in Darwin, it's fucking hot!after freezing in Perth, we're enjoying it!We're staying at Youth Shack (and not shag like i say all the time...), it's a really cool place with a swimming pool. The all city looks like a holiday resort by the ocean, everything there is made for backpackers...Tomorrow we're off to Kakadu National Park, first experience with Adventure Tours...

Here we are in Perth!!! After 3 weeks on the road from Melbourne, we finally made it :-)We struggled to find a place to stay tonight because the city is full of backpackers but we ended up in Backpackers International, cool place, it's like a big house where we are all sisters and brothers living in between the kitchen where the host cooks for everyone, the living room (yeah we watched TV for the first time in 3 weeks!) and the massive balcony...Tomorrow we're off to Darwin and we have to say good bye to Razi...The beginning of new adventures!

Ausgusta / Hamlin Bay, Australia

That's in Augusta that you've got the most Southern West point of Australia, it's called Cape Leuuvin and that's where the Southern and the Indian oceans meet...On the way we slept in a beautiful place called Hamlin Bay, there's a campsite there right on the beach and in the morning we had a pleasant surprise when we woke up... we saw dolphins swimming and playing right in front of us in the ocean! We also had the chance to see a huge sting ray (like the one that killed steve irwin...), it was really close to us and some guys were trying to take underwater pictures...
