Only two weeks to go now and we are off!! It's finally starting to hit that we are actually going to do this. I finished work 4 days ago and Bill finishes up on NYE. Loving being unemployed again...
My family are starting to get all emotional and worried about me going. That is really hard for me. Last time I was away I was only a phone call away so it was alot easier. I also wasn't planning on going to Peru and Columbia where travellers either get kidnapped or have their organs harvested (apparently)!!! I have to keep reassuring them that we will be ok and that we are not the scungiest travellers but are also not the tour bus tourist flashing cameras and money around. Still I think that the time length and separation issues are playing on all our emotions. Just to reiterate, to my family and friends I am going to miss you all soooo much!!!! :-(

We are so organised that it is not funny - house rented, car sold etc. etc - so you think I would not be stressed. Not the case though!! Still too many sleepless nights worrying about what we have to do before we go... Stupid things like do I have enough underwear??? Tell me, how much is enough for a trip like this??? Two weeks supply?? Poor Bill is dreading the next 12 months even more now and thinks I am completely mental!! :-)

Christmas is over (thank goodness!!) and I think I am about to explode from all the food and drink we have eaten over the past 48 hours. Perhaps the easiest way for me to deal with this would be to purge for the next two weeks... but there are still farwell drinks,
NYE and other meals to be had... Apparently Argentinian steaks are to die for... Where are we going to fit that???!!!!

Also, for everyone to know now, I have made a bet of $500 (with Russ - bless him..) that I will come back under 80kgs. Russ, you are going down babes!!! BTW, I will round the weight to the nearest 10kg and let you all know that I am 110kg. Heaviest and happiest I have ever been!!! Lets watch it shrink... Money on the table Russ!!! I am joining a gym and getting a personal trainer to keep it off when I get back so if anyone knows anyone.. :-)

Anyway that's enough for now. I will apdate you all closer to our leaving date!!!
