Lamporecchio, Tuscany, Italy

Close to the best place we've stayed so far in Europe! And the first place we ran into American's! Crazy! All the staff here were sooooo nice and the villa we stayed in was beautiful, it over looked the pool which over looked the country side of Tuscany! Italy is so beautiful, just like in all the pictures, but better! And very romantic! We arrived late on Sunday and they had a pasta dinner and a glass of red wine for us to eat, and it was just sooo cool!! We had the time of our life there, with the day trip to Florence, Vinci (hometown of Leonardo), and the pool parties late at night, it was a good time!
Cannes, Provence, France

Cannes, FR was amazing as well! I know i keep saying that but it truly was. There were so many people there on holiday, it's considered the Florida Keys of France, so everyone travels there for summer holiday! We met a few friends, had a few glasses or bottles or wine ;) We spent time on the beach sunbathing with the locals, eating frog legs, yes a french delicacies, and walking the streets, it's such a cute little town on the sea! I really enjoyed my time there!
Blackpool, England, United Kingdom

Happy 4th of July!

We went to Blackpool today, which is a sea side resort area in England. It's basically a mini Wisconsin Dells along the Irish Sea. It's carny heaven, which is kind of gross to think about, but it was fun! Had the traditional fish and chips for tea (dinner) and rode "the Big One" rollarcoaster, which reminded me of the Wild thing at Valley fair. It was a fun day, it was just missing fireworks! But they did celebrate American Independence day here on the radio! They played the top 12 most requested American songs on the hit radio station here in England which was fun to listen to on the way to Blackpool in Lisa's car!

Lisa's sisters are coming over tomorrow for a barbecue to celebrate the 4th with us Americans! It should be fun!
Hope everyone had a great 4th!
Love you!
Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom

Today was the best day we've had so far, let me explain why. We went to Edinburgh the capital city of Scotland. It was quite a long drive from Warrington, England. But really no different from the drive from Green Bay to home :) I have to say that Edinburgh has been the neatest city I've seen so far, it is so quaint but yet it still has the big city vibe about it. We were driving into the city looking for the castle, Edinburgh Castle, and all of a sudden we came around a sky scraper and boom there it was in the distance on this really large cliff. Check out the pictures! We walked up to the castle toured it for about 2:30 hours, which was awesome, got a little bored towards the end, but we got the see the Crown jewels of Scotland, which was cool. They looked a little old and the pearls and diamonds were not so bright anymore, haha i wonder why!? When we were leaving the Castle there was a group of tourist that were standing outside and one of the women, a stupid one, crossed the rope/chain around the royal guard to get a picture and all of a sudden the guard started to move and screamed "STEP AWAY FROM THE QUEENS GUARD!!!!!" The women didn't move and started to laugh and the guard literally took his gun with a bayonet on the end and pushed the women away from him. It was crazy scary at first but now it's a funny story! Cause the women is an idiot there was a guard that wasn't on duty next to the entrance who was there for pictures (which we took one with).
Anyway, next we walked down the "Royal Mile" which is basically the oldest part of Edinburgh, all the buildings are the original, it is quite a sight! While we were walking down Royal Mile we continually saw couples that were dressed up. The women were wearing nice dresses and fancy hats and the men were wearing kilts and nice jackets (see pictures). We were like where are these people going, so we decided to follow them. Turned out they were headed to the Holyrood Palace the place were the Queen of England stays when she visits Scotland. Lisa asked the police guard what was going on and he said the Queen was having a garden party. Lisa got really excited that we were in the same town as the Queen. Which we thought was cool and what were the chances?! We stood outside the gates to the palace trying to get a good look at the party and the Queen for a few minutes and then we decided that we could get a better view from the huge hill next to the palace so we climb this HUGE hill! It was quite the day!

More later, love you all!
-Cass

We are headed to Wales tomorrow to go hiking the country side :) It's going to be fun! The weather has been crappy! But then again it is England, and we saw a billboard that read "3 million people in Britain are on depression meds, Are you happy?" I can see how that is possible the weather is just sooo gloomy here, we miss the Wisconsin sun (or better yet the Caribbean sun!)
Liverpool, England, United Kingdom

Hey Everyone!
I know I'm a bit behind on entry's so here's me catching up :)
On Sunday Lisa drove us to Liverpool to see the city. We started at the big Cathedral in town, which i don't remember the name, and to me all of the churches look like cathedrals because they are sooooo old looking here. After we toured around the cathedral we walked to the downtown area or "city centre" as the locals call it here to Matthew Street "home of the Beatles"!!! It was really neat to see. It's basically a shrine of the Beatles and if you're into the band you get an eerie feeling about the area thinking that the band members have walked on the same cobble stone street that you're standing on that very moment (wink wink Grandma Susie cause I totally thought of you the entire time we were down there! You'd of loved it!).
Anyways, what was even cooler was that we actually went into the pub and stood on the stage that the Beatles played on, i think, it might have been a replica though, b/c I think I read that the original pub closed down or something? Anyways, it's cool, check out the pictures!
After touring around Matthew Street we went down to the harbor, I'm finding that it's pretty similar to the US here in England, a lot of the same foods/restaurants, beer, etc. though they do have way better fashion here, which is very tempting :( too bad the pound is double my dollar cause I wanted to buy a £4 shirt that was sooo cute here :(
Anyways, much love, Cass
We flew over canada which was also cool, it is cold and rainy here :( and we are excited to get to Manchester and stay with Lisa and her family! We all broke down and took a nap for two and a half hours got up and are now walking around Dublin City Center. We ate at a Indian Resturant that a local told us to eat at cause it was cheap and good, which was true, who knew you'd go to Ireland and eat Indian food!
