Hermanus, Western Cape, South Africa

What a journey it has been and continues to be! This is one large entry but it encompasses and touches on life in South Africa. We live in Hermanus, a coastal town 80 miles outside of Cape Town. We missed the whale season and hope to return and witness this incredible experience. One hundred plus whales fight for space to have their calves right off Hermanus. Between the people, climate, nature, scenery, restaurants and wineries, you can't help but love the lifestlyle here. We're getting spoiled! Thanks for letting us share...
Thanks Lisha for your endless hours of sorting!
Swakopmund, Namibia

Namibia is a land of sand and sea, with a coastline stretching almost 1500 miles from the northern border of South Africa to the southern side of Angola. It is starkly beautiful with the biggests and dunes in the world. We have half a house there with Mukesh so if you want to go somewhere different, just ask and we can accomodate you!
Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Our last stop before heading home to Africa. Wonderfully different and decidedly decadent, with prices to match. Fabulous mountains, seas, food and buildings like nowhere (except maybe Shanghai) else! These days foreigners are leaving their cars at the airport when they flee to avoid debtors prison. The economic meltdown has definately come to Dubai.
