Delhi, India

The 3rd and final day in Delhi!! Today I went into old Delhi, the new attire def helped and i managed to get from one end of the main bazzar to the other without getting stopped once and asked if i wanted anything that i don't want!! amazing worked a treat. however the ants don't mind what your wearing and are still attracted.
Went to the Red fort this morning and then to the Gandhi museum for the afternoon, both quite anti british but that's ok still quite interesting (and we shouldn't have invaded in the first place) had a little tour at red fort and watched a film at the museum about bose. Then this evening i went to 'india dance' a small amature dance group in old delhi which performed dances from all over india, along with a bizzar juggling which they called a dance.
Am leaving Smyle inn at 7am tomorrow, next stop Jaipur.
Touching wood i've surveved delhi without delhibelly (but have just tempted fate right there!!! :)
Think my brain has finally adjusted to india time but still struggeling with the stickyness.

over and out readers untill next time, not sure when that'll be caue i won't be getting free internet included when i'm in Jaipur, I know you'll be on tenter hooks till then so just have a little browse at the photos if you miss me too much :D

A xxx
Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India

Stayed in a footprint guide book recommended hotel called the hotel victoria, shared a crazy 3 people bed with Simon and Steph. Had the nicest meal of the trip when we went off guide book and our hindi kicked arse when Simon and I managed to read the menu (without any pictures or english in site to lend a hand in any way!!) Thank you Sharda, saved us. It was seriously yummy and the chapati man was wicked, making fresh chapatis next to our table, so glad the auto driver had no clue where the restaurant we originally wanted was, and to finish the night we bought ourselved a gift-wrapped box of chocolated to share! nice
Jaipur, Rajasthan, India

Have been working with some of the Akshar Slum school kids teaching them a poem for an Independence Day assembly. They are all so cute and proud of school. The 4 girls who recite it do really well and the whole thing is lovely. I even enjoy the bits in hindi i don't understand.
In the afternoon we go with Sharda and her family on an outing, mainly temples, one in am elephant sanctuary!!
In the evening after a rest, cause we melted in the heat, we go for dinner to a kind of folk village/amusement park type thing. Have a traditional Rajasthani meal and even do a little dancing when they drag me up.
Went to the cinema yesterday to see Singh is King, really funny with some catch songs.
New volunteer(s) are arriving tomorrow, i wonder what they'll be like, will Scott live up to Nikki's expectations?? Will there be a girl too?? how old and where from?? tomorrow we shall find out for real.
Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India

Have been quite sick since last night, not a fun train journey however we did get a free a/c upgrade, nice!
Didn't get a great 1st impression of Jodhpur, a man sent us the wrong way out of the station to try and get us to use his rickshaw, so on principle we walked for 20 mins, an extra 20 mins then we needed as where we were planning to stay was literally opposite the other exit!! what a mean man, why did we even believe him?? I was too ill to care. Slept most of the day and then we left that night, all i saw of jodhpur was a hostel room, it's roof top restaurant, one street and the station. The others who did explore seemed to like it but they said it wasn't amazing or exciting so i don't feel i missed out on anything but sleeping, plus i needed to get better, a valid excuse i think.
A morality tale about not stealing, has two songs in the script but no tunes so Simon and I decide on Freair Jaques and The oohmpah Luumpah tunes, more for our own amusement then theirs cause they don't know the songs but it's quite funny teaching kids the charlie and the chocolate factory classic!!!
