I arrived in Melb at 3pm ,went to St Kilda and had a manicure.Nikki met me at 5pm n we went other new flat in Eildon Street....very nice .We went to Fitzroy St for tea. I then headed to Mary's place in Blackburn. We checked our bags, etc and went to bed around 10pm

... had blown her clothes budget yesterday. It's a very different place at this time, heaving, but instead of clothes, souvenirs & carvings, it's fruit and animals on sale. We see people walking away already having done their shopping, a plastic bag full of fruit in one hand and a live (albeit probably not for long!) chicken hanging from their other hand. Vans park up, or just stop on the road, fruit piled up on the back, one for bananas, ...

... beaten track and hard to find, but backpacking at its best. We pulled into a hotel on the cliff and sat with a beer watching the sun go down. ... has something for any connoisseur. Then on the way back to town try one of the BBQ shops. It was nearly as good as home with a tangy and spicy BBQ sauce.

Just remember as you walk about town make sure to watch out for snakes. I've seen more snakes in Ubud than I think I have in all of my previous travels combined. Thankfully it's only been whip snakes and rat snakes both which are harmless!
