      Arrived yesterday afternoon at Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Staying at a campground where our dear friends Robin and Steve Albertson have a permanent site.       ... this late in the season, but a very nice little pub in town, the Cornerstone, has been feeding me and keeping me entertained. The first night here I stopped in to get some food and sat at the bar next to an elderly woman. She turned out to be Linda, the unofficial 'mayor' of Baileys Harbor, who knows everyone and everything.       ... was always marked by the odd hardwood tree turning a brilliant yellow or orange, usually in isolation among the evergreen trees. What I saw yesterday was an embarrassment of riches, everywhere I turned acres and acres of golds, reds and oranges covered the landscape. I tried a couple of times to get a good photo, but nothing could do it justice. Now when people say 'I miss the fall colors', I will have much more sympathy for them. I would miss them ...
