There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot to do in Manila, but if you’re stuck one trick is to hit up an air-conditioned mall. Luckily my hostel, Where-2-Next, was full of fun people, so we enjoyed a night out dancing after dinner at The Hobbit House – a Lord of the Rings themed restaurant staffed entirely by midgets!

Since we got a room with a kitchen, we were allowed to bring in and prepare our own food.
