After reaching the bottom (almost) of South America there was only one way to go...up! Roads are a bit thin on the ground in southern Argentina so we had two choices. The first is the conventional, but rather roundabout way on major roads, the second is using Ruta 40, a legendary road that runs the 3000 mile length of Argentina often on gravel roads & through isolated communities. ... Claudia my computer so she could catch up on emails and twitter. I enjoyed the wood burning fire and picked up a couple of books just off to the side of the lounge. Nicolas was outside with friends playing a guitar and singing a few songs. There were candles lit outside by the lounge chairs near the pool area. If only I could find my "Antonio". So romantic, so peaceful. Truly breathe taking.

... sure the prices were hiked up due to the cruise ship too. All in all worth a look. and the drive there is not too bad either you get some amazing views of the Punta del este coast line from this vantage point.

Then we headed to "la Pataia" ranch, nice country drive and they show you how Dule De Leche is made and once you walk around the traquil gardens and the kids do ...
