      ... to reach Trang. Once there, we were told we were never going to make it to the border crossing on time because it was already too late.
      So we were faced with staying in Trang for the night or going a bit further to Hat Yai but we chose to stay because lonely planet said Trang is nice and smaller which means the bus stations are closer to the city and therefore walkable distance.

      ... cave the sea looked as though it was boiling it was that unpredictable and choppy. The cave entrance again was hard to even spot amongst the lapping waves and we dared not even risk getting close to the rocks let alone attempting to get through a small tight 80 meter long channel to the Emerald cave and with the weather closing in we paddled with all our might in the viscous waters to make it back to Charlie beach.

      Once back and dry and sorted the heavens opened ...

      ... can see why it is so popular for climbers. The beaches are also very pretty, its amazing to swim under the overhanging limestone cliffs. The only downside was the amount of people. The first beach we went to was covered, there was hardly any sand left to sit on. The second beach wasn't a lot better but the tide had gone out so it gave us more room. The place is packed full of posh resorts but this is what we expected of South Thailand. You could have easily been anywhere else in ...

      Trang is a small city. It only took us 10 minutes to find a nice place to stay: a backpackers hostel on the main road. It was cheap (200 bahts – 4,5€) and quite comfortable. Just what we needed to rest for a couple of days before leaving Thailand.
