... had a sick day, and when he returned to school, they recommended a "diet menu" at lunch for his recovering stomach. Toast? Noodles?...No, in Spain this still means some form of ham (grilled rather than fried).

Hola! That is about the limit of my Spanish currently.. no, I am trying! The first week or so I have been here, I have been establishing myself and exploring; getting to know the area. I LOVE IT. Valencia is a beautiful city, not too big and not too small, and you can find your way around pretty easily. ... We were luck enought to have the 29km mark right outside the hotel. So we got to first see Antonio pass by there. He loved the posters:). There were also people dressed up on stilts cheering everyone on. My sign said ( in Spanish) " pain is temporary, pride is forever". It was so nice to see ppl read it and have an impact. It reminded me of how I felt during my race. After Antonio passed by, we hopped in the car and wet to meet him ...
