It is held the third weekend in Oct and is a smaller version of San Antonio's Fiesta. As we went through the museum, we learned that Johnnie Mathis was born in Gilmer. He left there when he was about 4 when his family moved to CA. Also born in Gilmer is Don Henley (founder and lead singer of The Eagles).

    After tyre swaps completed we headed back home to leave the trailer for Henry and Di to pickup.

    Followed Henry to the hay supplier and watched as 12 large hay bales were loaded up on the trailer and two more bales were loaded into the back of Frank's truck.

    Up reasonably early and we were off for a pleasant drive down the country roads of Lindale to the Cowboy Church at Tyler.
    The service was most enjoyable with a band and delightful singers.
