3 tanks out of 8 needed to be emptied and have all the fish transported to the engorde stage (growth). There was about 700-800 fish in total, from12 to 14 cms. They had to be caught with nets, placed in a 10 lt bucket with formaldehyde and then placed in a 500 lt container on a pickup, heading to the engorde stage (only a 1-2 miunte drive). Seeing that I had work for the weekend, Desi, who was leaving with Ruben and Antonio (Spanish) for a wedding, let me stay at here place with Jesus, fellow Tilapia researcher and avid apuaponics master. 2 of my Winning tanks are being treating for a paraiste, 1 other tank is developing the same parasite and another tank might be developing it. These tanks must be kept extrmeley clean, and the feeding must be done slowly to avoid any excess food to sit at the bottom and rot.

Went down to Puerto Rico to go fishing on the Cavalier.
We only caught 1 Wahoo of 25 kg, and a small Bonito. Still a fun day. I then headed to a small bay where I pitched up my tent and stayed there till Sunday. I hade some litereture on Aquaponics to read, so I did that with the usual snorkeling.

Due to the seperation of the smaller and larger fish, one tank had roughly 800 fish die due to stress. Most of the day was passed cleaning the tanks, and siphoning and counting the mortalities.
