I have a feeling this road down the pass is the oldest route of all three and must have taken some construction to build. Old block houses along the way are still to be seen. These were used in the old days before cars etc. were around for the travellers to spend the night etc.

Today we spent the day in the Dolomites (a beautiful mountain range in the Italian Alps). It was fun. We end up waking up one of the smaller mountains and finding some lakes. I took a lot of wonderful photos of the amazing scenery here. Our accommodation has been fantastic too. There is a really homely feel about the place we are staying. I really love it. I don't know what it is exactly but the place just has ...

... tomorrow. Weather has been great, but clouded up when we reached the summit. First picture is Susan at a town water fountain. Second is me on the decent into Vipiteno. The local clock tower and, finally, Susan and I recuperating at a local establishment trying to regain strength for tomorrow. ...
