    It looks like there's a music festival on this weekend, so every hostel in Bratislava is booked out from Friday night onwards. This means I'm limited to two nights here since I don't want to front up for more expensive accommodation.     ... afternoon and I quickly learned that Air Serbia (or the other way around) is an awesome way to fly. You don’t have to take your shoes off, your electronics can stay in the bag, and if you tell them you have it…you can bring outside bottles and food on the plane. It was too legit.

    ... Shared lots of stories and experiences. Around 9 we went to the sun deck to watch as we transited the first of 67 locks for this cruise. This was our first such experience - it was impressive, even if slow, to watch. The Gabcikovo Dam/locks involve a 20 meter (~66') rise. We were told that, while not the highest locks on the trip, these are the largest in terms of capacity. We transited with another large river boat with a combined length of probably more than 800'.     ... which took up an entire floor. The last section of the museum was dedicated to clocks which added to the legitimacy to lonely planet’s description of Bratislavia as quirky.
    My favourite part of the castle was walking up one of the towers and getting a great aerial view of Bratislavia. From the top of the tower the view of the old town, the river and the rolling hills and suburbs in the near distance was great. It also made it easy to seem the effect communism had on the city. ...
