... place we were after, but the beer made it worthwhile. I tried two Japanese brewed beers, Swan Lake IPA and Isekayoda Pale Ale, both were good, but I marginally preferred the latter. For dinner, it wasn't to be fish and chips, toad in the hole or an all day breakfast - we opted for a gyoza place near by. We opted for the smaller of the sharing platters that they did (even that was 20 gyozas!) and had some tori kara age (fried chicken) to share as well. To drink, ...

Sayonara Japan!

... smoker from the States, the only one in Japan, to do the Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork and Chicken meat. The effort was worthwhile as the meat was out of this world. So tender and tasty. They had plenty of craft beers on offer so we each had a couple of different varieties just in the interest of fairness. ;) After dinner we decided to walk back to the station through the Bay Area precinct. We all agreed, on a nice sunny day, it must be a spectacular sight. If we come back to Tokyo ...

... choked with traffic during the day but were now eerily quiet, a few odd cars here and there.

Crossing several bridges where I rode on the sidewalk, I made good time to the cycling path along the Ara river by which time it was now past dawn. There were a lot of joggers and cyclists already out on the path even though it was not yet 6:30 AM.

Cycling out of Tokyo takes quite a while as it is huge city. I ...
