A Lazy Day
We're now pretty much in the wind-down stages of this year’s trip and the same applies to the blog. In fact I have decided that once we return to Burgstaaken on Fehmarn and we’re back at base, there is little point in continuing, I will summarise the last week in a final entry on or about 2nd September. Until then, on with the blog but there is not a lot to report.

Great Sailing
... planned on 3 loads, including Helen's sleeping bag but we had the decency to let her continue to use it until absolutely necessary! We hoped to get the washing dry on the line so that we could stow it away after Helen’s departure, enabling us to move on to our next harbour, Neustadt. It was breezy and sunny so the plan should have worked.

Last day with Helen
... the land was well forested, with fine tall beech and lime trees. We stopped for a cup of tea in a cliff-top café and then returned, remarking once again on the cleanliness and quiet streets with neat houses, some of them very large indeed. In short, a genteel seaside town.

It was a lovely sunny day again as we bade our farewells to those boats that hadn't already gone, like migrating birds scattering.
