... meant we had to wait until the following day before we could fully appreciate that we really were in the middle of a desert. The resort is lovely, but step outside and you are immediately plunged into a moonscape. You have to travel pretty far to find any greenery, but there are some nice sandy beaches nearby. We tried a bit of exploring, but have resigned ourselves to staying either by the pool or beaches for a remaining time ...

... After a stressful match with lots of opportunities to score for Belgium but with an amazing American goalkeeper it went to supplementary time. And yes after 10 min the Belgians finally scored, funny thing was that as it was after midnight the guard had told the bar owner to mute the tv. Monday 28th April

    Weather: same same

We moved up the coast to a campsite at Los Escullos. There isn't anything at Los Escullos except the campsite, a restaurant and an old Fort. The campsite is about a kilometre from the beach so we headed there later in the afternoon for a spot of sunbathing.

Weather: Can it get any hotter?

Did a circular walk today in land to San Jose and then along ...

A super campsite on the beach, warm again at 30C when we arrived but cooling to 23 C overnight. 100 metres to the beach and 50 metres into the village, facilities excellent and pitch sizes huge for Spain. Very full though with a majority of people staying for the long term over the winter with complex set ups, settees and wide screen tv in their awning ...
