CONS: No on-site staff or amenities, complicated after-hours check in rituals.

My final insight is that LA has to be the best place in the world for people watching. Unfortunately, there appears to be an incredibly high proportion of mentally insane people here but even the normal americans are pretty entertaining! My times on the Metro and the bus were very interesting haha!

... We were kind of expecting to be able to sit on the Hollywood sign like in the old school movies so were a tad disappointed to see it from so far away. The only way to get closer would be by hiking for 2 hours and we didn't really have time (and we have done enough hiking for a while by our standards)!
