PROS: Location, price, quiet building, beautiful studio suite with great finishes, fantastic showers and Ikea appointments.
CONS: No on-site staff or amenities, complicated after-hours check in rituals.

As I'm sitting here on the plane, I'm watching movies and tv shows to pass the time by, I feel so sick but the feeling of eagerness overrides that. It's a 15 hour flight and its absolutely killing me, it doesn't help that I have a bad back and I'm stuck between 2 people that find it funny to sleep on me. I am no good on planes, this is torture I cannot wait to land.

We started following the oath of the park doing the roller coasters as they went and after a couple I took the kids back to the kids section to ride the rest of the rides. Lots of cute little versions of roller coasters and truck rides and a huge indoor ball pit type pavilion that uses ...

... that I drove out of the main park and up Mauna Loa Rd and saw the Tree Molds. These are where moist trees got encased in lava, the lava hardened and the trees eventually disintegrated leaving a hollow ring of lava where they once were.

I drove back to the hotel to sit for 30-45 min before heading out of the park to the Kilauea Lodge for a 6pm dinner reservation. I had a lilikoi daiquiri, coconut crusted baked brie wedge which was served with bread, brandied ...

    First night in America.

A travel blog entry by mallock on Aug 13, 2014

Hi, made it safe to America, flew Smaug air. Will upload a photo when I can. Flight was good but a little bit bumpy but the worse part was a passenger two seats over singing...the same song...again...out loud...sigh. Weird when a crying baby was better to listen too. Who, by the way quite liked me once we ...
