... were waiting on scooters outside the school gates. Getting through them all was a nightmare. And the fumes from the bikes was unbearable. We walked through a lot of puddles and found a bag shop. ... normal. It did the trick fortunately and the next morning, although still slightly queasy I felt a million times better. Our first scheduled stop was the Reunification Palace, until a friendly street seller said it closed for lunch at 12, and it was already half 11. Yeah right we thought, what you selling, we thought . We had booked a bus from Kratie in Cambodia to go direct to Ho Chi Minh City (formally known as Saigon). Even though we were a day delayed on our schedule, we were on our way to the much anticipated Vietnam.
