... customs, into a taxi to arrive at Tony's apartment on Palm Beach. I had achieved the journey out and felt good. My gratitude to everyone who helped is beyond words and with a special 'thank you' to the wheelchair angel at Tenerife South airport who managed to clear a speedy flight path through crowds of passengers with her verbal beep beeping and deliver me from aircraft to taxi in record time.

... as curious about us as we are of them because they would roll on their side and look me right in the eye! They were delightful! We found a couple of pods of them and followed them for quite some time. I must say that I loved every second of it. They are mesmerizing. And frankly it was very moving. I found myself crying at one point. No idea why. Was just moved. Not sure what this says about me. But in other news I also cried at the Opera ...

... El Ray as we drove up to the volcanic summit of the island called El Teide. It was a pretty fun road full of switchbacks that took us through every conceivable landscape from rainforest to snow to pine trees to mists so thick you couldn't see ten feet down the road. ... unable to work out what time it was. I tried to be optimistic that this wasn't a sign of San Fran's continual edging towards a chasm of uselessness but I had to admit he was getting less and less reliable. A saunter back to our apartment allowed us to take in the night life one last time as unfortunately we return home tomorrow.
