      ... pizza. Call me shallow, call me crazy, but I love pizza and Chicago is like the pizza mecca. Each topping is a whole layer. Just think about that for a moment. It's so dense you don't eat it with your hands, you can't, so stop trying. Those Chicago town deep dish pizzas you get in the supermarket quite frankly are dog **** compared to the real deal. Two days running I had it from two different places and I'm not even sorry.

      But there is so much more about Chicago ...

      ... t arrived by 9pm. I did wait until then, but finally decided it was better to just get to the hotel, since I'd booked it this time with my card, and would need to be the one checking in. Turns out we'd both been sitting waiting in taxis just behind each other, and I barely beat Jill there by ten minutes. My driver went to two other pick up spots at the Airport, at one I was waiting for nearly 20 minutes, but there wasn't anyone else to pick up. So I got the whole cab to myself, ...

      ... of jumping in a taxi as soon as possible and minimising how wet I was going to get. After a little wait in the rain (the novelty was starting to wear off after the third empty taxi flew past me) it was a short trip to Soldier Field where it was absolutely belting it down (thankfully this didn't last long).
