Turkey is exceptionally dry and they have few days of rainfall each year; the temperatures can be extremely high. I only arrived at the end of August, but even then temperatures peaked at 43 degrees!

Datca is a beautiful place, but very small and hidden from the main tourists who generally go ...

... night card playing this time. Aust swept the series of "********" against NZ. Woke up in Turkey! Marmaris is in a spectacular location. Hills everywhere. We met our driver who appeared to be fairly new to the task of driving. Staying on the right side of the road was a challenge. But a great guy with perfect English. ... Estonia at 7 so we headed to the same bar to watch the match. 0 - 1 another England win and a good enough match to watch. It was just before 9pm so too late for the hotel restaurant. We headed into town to the Florida Bar. 3 course filet steak meal for £12 including a drink. A very nice steak and a friendly waiter. A nice change to the hotel food. Back to the hotel - still no wifi and after several beers and wine no packing either. That will wait until ...
