We have another sea day tomorrow before reaching Saigon so that should help Helen recover from the outings two days in a row. Saigon is our last port before returning to Singapore on Friday.

We have been fortunate with the weather throughout - no rain at all but our guides and ship's crew tell us this is the best time to visit Asia in the middle of their winter. the temperatures have been in the high 20s and into the low 30s but humidity has been low ...

A travel blog entry by caiter on Jan 26, 2011

Yesterday, one of the foreign teachers approached me and asked if I would be willing to help with English Camp. She said it would be an overnight camp at Khao Yai. Without thinking too much about it, I agreed. And then I found out what all was expected of me…

We will be camping at Khao Yai with the 90 5th grades for 3 days and 2 nights. I have never nor have never had an interest in sleeping in a tent. Apart ...

    ... lunch.

Tonight is a big night! We’re going to a fundraiser event for AIDS hospices and to honor a French expat doctor who has devoted his time to taking care of AIDS patients in the Pattayaland area. Later, we would go to a show (or 2) and then out for a night in the town. I’m thinking I’m too old for that kinda thang!!!!

The highlight of the evening? Running into old friends Henni & Rik (from Flemish folks living ...
