... we pulled into the turn lane. There were 3 lanes going into the center and only one gate open. They need help here!! Twenty minutes later we got through the gate to the parking lot. There were lots of school groups, most very well behaved. It was the kids with families that seemed to run everywhere like wild children. Oh well!

... Houston through Galveston Bay to the Gulf of Mexico. After numerous wrong turns and dead ends we arrive just "in the nick of time" for a three o'clock boarding!
Boarding is easy and efficient, and we find our room mid-ship on the Dolphin or ninth level. Our mini-suite with balcony is perfect for us, and we enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne as the Emerald Princess sets sail for the Caribbean!

The morning of the storm, saw children playing in the water that was starting to rise in the streets but it didn't take long for people to realise the water was still rising.

Pleasure pier had a bunch of rides at it and we had shrimp at bubba gump shrimp co before heading out to joes at alvin for the most awesome Texan steak I have ever had. Again, it was a huge meal that we couldn't eat half of and very very cheap awesome food. The Americans are very lucky. Monday was the worst day, having to leave after having such ...
