        ... Wood, Celtic Wood & where the Zonnebeke 5 were located, the cost was nothing but as he was coming into Wipers for the night I offered him dinner which he agreed on. Dinner turned into a few pubs that lasted until 0200 hrs... So much for the big sleep....

        Johan has a website as he's trying to get a memorial park for the Australians in Belgium...

        Also Luc at the B&B gave me a very nice photo ...

        ... was pretty wild but Louie and I were far back since we didn't want to get arrested! We decided to have a Belgian waffle (my first time!) and it was sooo good! Very filling so it wasn't the smartest idea to have it before dinner... We then went to a cheap kebab place and grabbed a quick and easy dinner.         We opened the windows early to enjoy the fresh air, sounds of church bells and horse and carts clip clopping along the street. Enjoyed a leisurely and decadent breakfast (again) before retreating to the room to do some washing and planning for the next couple of days.         Today I took the train out to Brugge!!! It's An amazing small town. Lots of small shops and restaurants and museums! I fell in love with St. John hospital and went on the best brewery tour I have ever been on - half moon! The town was so cute and romantic I didn't want to leave!         ... the decorations weren't as odd and creepy as we'd heard- we'd expected something like the cemetery in Edinburgh. It was still very distinctive, though... the church had two levels, so the central altar area was flanked by two staircases, and under them were doorways leading back to a room behind the altar and beneath the second floor.
