... we did not do well: by the time we realised we were late…it was too late! And we got a 5 sec penalty…
With this short distance and the early start we arrived at the Sofitel (by the seaside) at around 2 pm, so again, time for a light meal by the pool…
PS. When results were out we retook 2nd place, behind the Norwegian Alvis of Jan and Jan. Michael and Sarah broke the Jag's clutch and did not clock in on time on arrival and were thus heavily penalised...

Arrive at the coast Hua Hin
... and a few beers. Back to Hua Hin and dropped in to the bar for a few more, left around 2 am. 18th Nov: Wander round town, found a nice Swedish place for breakfast then went for a massage and then back to the room to chill for a while. Went to the bar around 7ish to say bye to Tom and his Girlfriend bad move left around 1 am and he was getting the bus at 6 am rather him than me. 19th Nov: Moved digs again even I don't know why as the last one was nice and right on the sea front but hey ...
Pairing off in Hua Hin
... wasn’t overtly sleazy; it’s not Patpong (Bangkok’s infamous red-light district). High-end resorts line a lovely white sand beach that stretches 5 km to a headland with a standing Buddha. Lots of Thai kids splashed in the water and rode ponies on the sand, and we enjoyed a long walk under a changing sky—over our heads a dark cloud caught up with us, poured rain down for about ten minutes, and then was gone, leaving us with blue skies ...
Back to the mainland in highrise style!
... deep water whilst keeping watch for the little buggers, but that was about it. We went and visited the guys at the local KBA shop and learnt that everyone wore jelly trousers; basically a rash vest for your legs and that all the winds here were thermal winds, so only picked up in the afternoon. Result; time for lunch!

... es weil ich allein als maedchen daherlaufe oder weil die thaidamen nicht auf drogen zu sein scheinen. oder weil es einfach nur so unendlich traurig ist dass maenner hier hin fliegen undsich fraue kaufen. ich habe eben festgestellt dass ich wohl auch in so was wie nen stundenhotel gelandet bin. thaifrauen gehen mit alten maennern hinein und bezahlen fuer eine nacht. ohne gepaeck.
also wirklich das betse teil was ich mitgenommen habe ist so ein duenner ...
