... Moreton Bay Bugs Linguini and was a little dismayed when a tray of Moreton Bay bugs arrived with nothing else - yes, second time in three days that my order was wrong. Tom ate his dinner whilst I waited for mine. When it arrived eventually it was truly delicious. We were not compensated in any way for having to dine separately, for them having confused the order. Very steep windy roads are the order of the day but we soon make the top of the mountain and see a sign for the Barron Falls. The 1.2km walk takes us through picturesque forests and open onto the falls. The falls are clearly not running at maximum volume but still make for a great view. Back to the car and we continue our trip to ...

... saved from the shops. It took a while to find lunch to suit retiree's budget as even the pub lunch hamburger was $15+. We settle for the pub lunch. After walking and car sightseeing the area we decided that Coles package cake and Nespresso coffee in the caravan would be tastier and cheaper. Tomorrow to Mossman and The Daintree. Crocs, crocs and bigger crocs. Maybe! Sunday and a drive to Daintree nearly at the end of ...
