... shy species seemed unperturbed by the boat's photographer cupping its mouth and hauling him back down from above. I gave Wally a couple of strokes as he went by. He felt very smooth and muscly. Tim here...I'm happy to report I finished my 3rd Ironman race!!! I was able to get a personal record for this race. It was very hard as they all are but this one was beautiful! I got to swim in the Coral Sea off the Coast of the Great Barrier Reef. Then the ride was along the coast of Palm Cove, Port Douglas and Cairns. The run was along the coast of Cairns. ... a bar that was happening and went in to find meals and a beer for $12. You can't beat that so we dove in and ordered a steak for Brad and burger for me, plus a beer each, bonus! ... up in the mountains and your ears pop as you snake up the mountainside to it. Once there we visited the Koala gardens which featured a lake full of crocs, some koalas fast asleep in the trees, a walk in kangaroo enclosure and a reptile enclosure. We also decided to visit the bird sanctuary next door which would of been Mrs Turner (Snr) worst nightmare as its a huge enclosure full of free flying birds which land on you if they like the look of you.
