... I wish I remember the name of the fruit as it tasted just like a desert and even Michelle liked it.

As we were the only 2 aboard, and to the relief of the skipper, we asked not to be pointed out every crocadile in the river. The skipper was so happy with this we stayed out a bit extra as he said he is always looking at the water and enjoyed looking itno the trees and sky for a change. ... the exit in 3 minutes max. That's right - a brief stop at 'quarantine' and nothing else. No immigration, no border control. My landing card was not collected, nor was my passport or visa checked. Welcome to the Third World!

We have now been in Australia for one week. One last photo of Brisbane from the river, which I took last night after dinner. This morning we flew from Brisbane to Cairns, the entry way to the extremely large great barrier reef to the east and the northern outback to the west. We rented a car in Cairns and, armed with our SAT phone, we headed west on a four hour journey to Crystalbrook Lodge. On the way we went through a beautiful rich valley, ...

... cheap, and we were happy because we didn’t have to throw it all away. It also meant that we would no longer have to carry that stupidly heavy Canada bag. We posted home a few things that we wanted to keep, and so we were down to just the essential items (plus a kite and Frisbee). It felt a bit like a Spring clean.

On the Wednesday, we had a very early start for our flight to Darwin, which is our last stop in Australia and the last place before we head into ...
