... the option to go with a guide for this first dive but it will be the only one we will have a guide for. Then we are all on our owns. ... seemed to ease off so it was off to the Gorge. The centre is very modern with rainwater being collected from the roof of the buildings - not that you can imagine the gardens needing more water! We paid for the shuttle bus to take us the two kms to the start of the 300m walk - most chose that option - our bus was full. There were still quite a few who opted to walk but unfortunately for them the clouds opened up ...

... are slow but tasty, the beach area is off limits. I guess that means my toes will not be an appetizer.

So we walked down the park looking at the pale white bodies trying to be become tanned and beautiful. We read about the WWI memorial with the clock set at the time of the landing at Galipoli. We saw a 25 pound Howitzer from WWII. The Esplanade has several areas with museum quality signs discussing the history of Cairns.

Up early and uncle Brian's bus. We began the tour with an hours drive to Babinda Boulders. Whilst here we walked through the rain forest and man it was a RAIN forest...
