... There are over 500 mosques in Dubai so while it's not quite one on every corner, there's usually one within hearing distance which is important for those who need to go and pray 5 times a day! Today started quite leisurely. Our first stop was seeing Dubai from 124 stories in the World record holding Burj Khalifa. The Burj was renamed on inauguration from Burj Dubai as the GFC meant that they had to reach out to their Emirati friends in Abu Dhabi. They assisted with financing and the name Khalifa came from the name of the President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. A pretty kind gesture both ways.
