      ... of times, the cruise ship companies know how to organize things very well. We are staying at the Ramada on Marina Blvd for the one night. It is not near the ocean but it is very close to the cruise port and the airport. They have a nice pool and a restaurant, so this will work just fine. We are able to get into our room early and we spend the rest of the day by the pool. This is just our way of stretching out the trip a little more.

      I made it to Starbucks where I just wanted to stay indoors and away from the sun for the rest of the afternoon.       After 5 months of cold & snow it was time for some beach action. The hostel was literally 100 steps from the beach, perfect! By far I was the whitest person on that beach, so much so that people stared at me! As it was completely off season the main people there were either Caribbean/Hispanics or old retired white American. this latter group were the darkest people!

      ... deciding to head over, by bus, to the large shopping mall on the Fort Lauderdale Beach strip to find Tracey a new bathing suit. After walking the mall, checking out swimsuit places, but they all seem to be priced for rich Americans, not poor Australians. Finally, she found her suit at Macy's....tried two on, bought one.
