We paid $265 for Ben, Maria, Josh for 7 days and $229 for Hannah and Kaitlin so we did get value for money. However you can by them in 3 or 5 day options as well and we got so tired after a few days going hard that maybe in hindsight shorter would've been better. Enjoyed it heaps though.

Another day was spent whale watching. A glorious day with flat calm conditions made spotting wildlife easy. We were treated to watching migrating grey whales, rafts of Californian harbor seals and rare pacific white sided dolphins. The highlight was watching the dolphins bow riding and seeing so many seals miles out to sea.

... had a Jeep Wrangler set up for desert four wheeling that was rather dusty and dirty, and it also had a few dings in it. Turns out it belongs to a girl that lives in the area and she had it fitted with a wheel chair lift so she could go run around in the desert like everyone else. The advances made in adaptive systems are simply amazing.

... cream shops we passed, and we ended up settling on a patch of grass to watch the fireworks with our sandwiches and our wine.
The fireworks was spectacular! We turned out to have picked a pretty great spot to view it and the acoustics of the surrounding buildings added some extra surround sounds to the show. And we finally made it home we topped off the day with some home-made ice-cream cones. I couldn't have wished for a better 4th of July celebration.
