I had opted for the non-meat meals and was happy to be served fish and squid, while the others had beef and chicken. Food was served family-style and there was so much of it. Just over two thirds of the way into our 3 hour journey our bus stopped in the middle of the road, next to another bus. The driver motioned us to get off and urged us in fast Vietnamese to fish out our bags. ... amount of rubbish floating in the water, more than likely dumped from the boats that operate here. Maybe Unesco need to have a word? We follow the coast of one of the islands for a while, admiring the beautiful scenery – and amusing ourselves at the antics of Mark and Vic who’ve never kayaked before! We go through a few tunnels in the rock and end up in a shallow bay where everyone gets beached at some point! We also see movement in some of the trees ...
