... and embarrassing) experience when I was aggressively threatened by a giant moth. As it turns out, it's a pretty embarrassing phobia and doesn't seem to be shared by anyone else that we've come across. After dinner, we joined a few others and attempted to fish for squid. It's a pretty primitive method, just dropping a jig into the water tied to fishing line hanging from a bamboo stick. No one caught anything, thank goodness. ... for an hour or so is very relaxing.
We kayak back to our boat and settle in for the hour or so trip back to the main boat. The sun is very hot but the breeze in the shade on the top deck makes the trip very pleasant. The scenery is breathtaking.

Sadly we left the boat and got back in the same bus for our 4 hours back to Hanoi. We had a couple of hours back at the same hotel to get some ...

Today we started our last grand tour throughout the UNESCO World Heritage site of Halong Bay. The magical limestone kersts (little islands) await us as we zoom crazily throughout Hanoi traffic leaving the and entering the city all at once. Our dinner last night was a well reviewed beef noodle and peanut crunchy topping over rice noodles with a soy-based sweet sauce. Delicious! We woke up this morning and leisurely packed our bags and headed down to our buffet breakfast of fresh kumquat ...

... to happen so we got back onto the boat. Safely back on the boat we played a couple of rounds of 'Hearts' (card game) before having a Vietnamese cooking lesson. I am now determined to win but it's not looking good for me. The cooking lesson involved us watching the guy putting various spices and pork into a wrap and rolling it up to make a spring roll. Everyone was able to roll a spring roll and they would be for lunch. Nobody washed their hands ...
