After an amazing, unforgettable day in Halong Bay and a sound night's sleep on board the boat, Claire and I woke up and went to breakfast in the dining room. Having filled up on toast and fruit, Claire and I went up to the main deck to take our last look at the awesome sight that is Halong Bay, as our boat had begun to depart as we ate en route back to shore.

We had about 45 minutes to paddle around and enjoy the bay from a new vantage point.

Once back on the boat, we had a cooking lesson -- ...

We started out on a three and a half hour air conditioned bus ride to the harbour and then onto a nice small wooden boat to take us to the larger boat where we spent the first night. This boat was really nice and we were pleasantly surprised by the free upgrade to our room that we were given. This room was actually one of the nicest we've stayed in while in Asia and our large windows and private balcony gave us fantastic views of the water and the many islands ...
