... aside it is still very beautiful. We had lunch first, a 7 course meal that was fantastic! Soup, salad, fish, squid, crab, veges, and fruit to finish. Then we went to a fishing village and went on a bamboo sanpan boat. They all live and work there, there is no health and safety, babies wander around the tied together bamboo decks with no hand rails, no life jacket, no one watching either... Was interesting to see. ... going to clean my room. I packed everything up and locked my bag, and then just took with me my purse and my waterproof bag full of stuff for the day. I debated for a while what to bring, and it was good that the couple from the day before who were finishing their third day were around to advise me and some of the other six people who were going off on the day boat. They said to bring a towel and a change of clothes/bathing suit. I wasn't really ...

... five month World trip, having stopped at many places we will visit over the coming year.

Our guide explained some interesting facts about Halong Bay including how proud they are of it's acceptance as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.. In 2012, Halong Bay was voted as one of the New 7 Natural Wonders of the World and that according to the Vietnamese, you haven't visited Vietnam if you ...
