... travel when your children are adults or nearly adults is quite tiring. It's been good but not without it's challenges. The boys haven't shared a room since they were really little so that in itself has got on their nerves with not having their own space. Finished the night off at the Patong Paradise Beach Bar with lots of alcoholic beverages and a few games of connect 4 - hilarious night and a perfect end to the day for an over shopped girl. Cheers, ...

          Dinner for Two

This time, I celebrated my birthday in Thailand in 32+ degrees temperature (90+F) and 89% humidity. Yes, it rained cats and dogs for 30 minutes in the morning. After that, it was sunny again but you felt the humidity more than before.

For the evening, Michelle organized a surprise for me. We drove in a real taxi, no open tuk-tuk, to a famous place with a gorgeous view of Patong Beach and the Adaman Sea. The surprise was ...

Ti and I went for one last Graceland swim and just after six we all went into Patong for the last time. We picked up my leather skirt and Jack visited the girls next door at the salon as they had been talking a few days earlier when I was ordering my skirt. We got a photo of Jack with them - they call him "handsome boy". There are groups ...

... lets go’ then another group in the back of a wagon started chatting to us, it was very surreal. I noticed a few had ginger hair and had read that the some of the sea gypsy clan have red hair so maybe we did find them after all! It was a strange place and we thought afterwards maybe it was a funeral we had stumbled across unless they usually hang out at the graveyard drinking beer!

We decided to go and find Laem Hin, a little village where they have great ...

... I left BO boy to fend for himself. I went outside and it was absolutely dead. There was nothing open except McDonalds so I went in there and got a coffee. All the drunk people and prostitutes were coming in. I ignored one of them but I had a long chat with one prostitute who was a sweet (albeit misguided) woman. I tried to persuade her to be an independent woman although how much of our conversation she actually understood is another matter!!! I got back to ...
