Phuket, Thailand: Holiday Bliss

A travel blog entry by samber

This is a top pick!

Our brief touch down in Bangkok was enough to set our senses on holiday mode. The smells, warmth, colour all indicated holiday and we couldn't wait to get to Phuket. Air Astana was ok but can't say I would actively seek out to fly with them again. The seats were terribly uncomfortable with little to no legroom. Patong Beach is probably our least favourite beach resort in Thailand: it's loud, noisy, packed, ladyboys displaying their 'wares'; ...

No Ping Pong Please!

... of water on a fallen tree. We made it to the top, sweating buckets but were amazed at the view. It was astonishingly beautiful. We were surprised to see a white man at the top sitting in the sun reading a book as if he had made this waterfall his permanent residence. We decided it was best not to disturb him, he didn't acknowledge our presence so we let him be. We trekked back down and were not pleased to find an absurd amount of camp kids making the ...
