A well deserved down hill
... and even better it was on good road, with little traffic and not too steep. It was great, there were birds hovering around us and a paragliding centre ready for people to take off but we had our own means of flight. The downhill covered 20km of road and we stopped a couple of times to take in the view and to savour the feeling; it’s much quicker going this way!!!

Going to visit Susans cousin Pablo Escobar
... tasty meat, beef, chicken and sausages. We all sat and chatted and ate way too much, a perfect BBQ all in all. As there were so many nationalities there, Spanish was the language of choice for the first half of the BBQ so we got to brush up on our Spanish. It's still not what it should be though. Couchsurfing in Medellin!
... and I arrive at Guatape at about lunch time. John´s dad organises lunch for us at his sailing club. Delicious fresh fish. We chill around the water and then decide to conquer the "Guatape Rock" a massive rock that borders the lake. It formed about 70 million years ago. With 2/3 of its height below ground, the exposed vertical face is over 200 meters high and visible from throughout the surrounding countryside. ... black clouds rolling in, we descended quickly! Like most days here in Medellin, we consumed our packed groceries (rum or vodka) in the car only stopping for ice! Cheers!
