After a few stressful days
camping on the sand of Portugal's beaches (which we have now come to LOVE) we
headed slightly south to Lisbon for the Optimus Alive music festival. The crux
of our three day festival experience can be summed by the following:
- Sleep in
- Phenomenal lunch/breakfast
- Lazy arvo, reading/napping/shopping/playing cards
- Running amuck at Optimus

Budget airlines certainly know where to cut costs, and printing off your own boarding card is one thing you can't do on an ipad, not unless you carry around a printer as well. ... the mountain and along the cliffs under us, a beautiful sight ! We walked for about an hour and while the wind was starting to become stronger and stronger we went to the restaurant of the camping and had some calamares fritos with a big salad. ... a pretty little village, a former fishing enclave, now a tourist resort. The path out of Las Negras climbs a hill giving excellent views down the coast. The path seemed very busy compared to what we have been used to. After about an hour, we started a descent towards San Pedro with the ruins of the 18th century San Pedro Castle and a 16th century tower coming into view. Weather: same same
We moved up the coast to a campsite at Los Escullos. There isn't anything at Los Escullos except the campsite, a restaurant and an old Fort. The campsite is about a kilometre from the beach so we headed there later in the afternoon for a spot of sunbathing.
