      11/11 Corfu

We left the ship late and spent some time using the Port's free wifi. We were heading to the bus stop to take a bus into town when we ran into an enterprising taxi driver. He was waiting at the bus stop instead of in the line of taxis looking for €100 fares to tour the island. He offered us a €10 trip to the historic district and the same back. We found ...

We had a coffee and cookie while we checked e-mail, facebook, etc. By the time we finished it was 11:30, surely time for a taste of the local wine. ... Tirana. It was less to do with the driving and more to do with parking. It seems you just stop in the middle of where you are and park your car, trying to weave in and out of the cars on the road was a nightmare! This was reminiscent of the driving in Montenegro which was some of the worst we’ve seen on the trip, it seems overtaking vehicles MUST be done at all costs, with plenty of blind corner passing we kept our ...

... air, to the touch down on the runway. Jacques treated us to beer and ice cream, as we watched for the landing planes. Returning to the Milena, after shower time, the kids began playing bat gammon, while us adults enjoyed an aperitif of nice "rooster insignia labelled" Greek wine. A fabulous sautéed chicken breast dinner, accompanied by lovely French Pommerol wine, followed with the piece of resistance Marina baked ...
