    ... budget tickets a few days before you travel. My plan was to go by train from Athens to Thessaloniki as it is a well documented route and sounds great. My ticket cost me €29 but if you book earlier 3/4 weeks in advance you can get some tickets for just €9. Thessaloniki is going to be fun to stay tuned for that one.

    ... It really is a must see. Check out the pictures and video for more on this. There are plenty of tourist market stalls around but pleasingly no hard sell and a polite no is enough. Smoking I think has not been banned here and I really noticed it but not enough to spoil my wandering.
