... to spend a night there then catch a flight to the north of Thailand, Chaing Mai. Most of our plans/things that made us come to Thailand we can do there. Can't wait to get there! We have a 6am boat to the mainland then a bus to Krabi! Should take about 5 and a half hours. We are due to arrive at 11:30 but as we are beginning to realise, schedules don't mean much in Thailand and we often end up being hours late! Fingers ...

Loved the safety stop, water was much clearer this time and was lying on ...

... and grew to appreciate the world of the ocean depths. And if I had never gone on that second dive, I would never have completed my PADI Open Water course here in Koh Tao. Diving is literally an out of this world experience. Going down for the first time is just utterly bizarre. Your first reaction when you're underwater is to hold your breath/panic because you know you shouldn't be able to breathe down there. Every instinct and lesson you've ever learned has told you that ...

    Diving!!! Koh Tao

A travel blog entry by elinor.hinton on Oct 26, 2013

... some odd and slightly resentful looks from the other guests, who were all fasting and off for early-morning colon cleansings (turns out its a pretty hardcore health spa), but didn't even have to have my colon cleaned out or my liver realigned or anything! She truly was one of the loveliest people I've ever met. She said to me she believes in Karma, so hopes if she looks after me maybe someone will look after her daughter. I hope someone does. Finally I was actually on my way to Koh ...
