Our first day in England

At the Holiday Villa we were "greeted" by a doorman, who in keeping with the finest of London traditions, displayed no interest in helping us with our baggage. After all he did have to finish off his smoko at that early hour of the morning; it was 5.30am on a Monday.

London Part 2 - A City of Two Tales
... loads of animals in the blue zone. Big, small, old, new, extinct, you name it, they had it. And many dinosaurs, with an animaltronic actual size T-Rex, with blood on it's mouth. Also, the last Friday of every month, the museum is open late, and one of these Fridays a year, students from surrounding Colleges and Universities, set up tables everywhere, with cool science stuff, and show everyone. Awesome day
We started the day early and walked down to the Thames to watch the the Paralympic marathon, excellent atmosphere, bands playing, volunteers dancing, and of course the athletes, excellent to soak up the atmosphere of the games, later we walked towards bucking Palace past the houses of Parliament, all roads were closed for the marathon and the wheelchair races, excellent support for the for the wheelchair racers.
