... a walking tour up to the 9/11 site so we started off at the bottom of Broadway street where the all the Transatlantic liner offices used to be, all their names are still visible on the buildings. We then continued on up Broadway to Wall Street past the Stock Exchange which since 9/11 you can no longer go in and see as visitors and George Washington statue outside Federal Hall and many buildings owned by Donald Trump and Holly Trinity church set amongst all the high rise buildings. ...

Having given ourselves a bit more time that yesterday, we joined the Uptown loop until the stop where you can join the bus to the Bronx.

After a bit more walking, we saw a map of the park and realised that we had only walked about a fifth of the park! It was then that we realised how big Central Park actually was.

... br> The traffic was stationary, Friday afternoon rush hour, and no taxi would stop. Trying to stay calm, I eventually was able to get one to stop and take us back to the ship with 30 minutes to spare, tipping him rather generously with relief. Back on board we were both exhausted with our day in the big city, not enough time in 8 hours to do much else.
Went to dinner and then bed early, having to turn clocks forward 1 hour again, sleeping up disturbed all night.
