        ... evening we had a super night with Cousin Dan and Sheila in their very nice village of Scotch Corner (I think a population of 350). After very sad good byes we are now back in Chamonix. It's always hard leaving Aunty Chris and Neville. Interesting for us, Chamonix felt like "coming home". The snow is further down the mountain, the trees are all golden and we are now off to watch NZ v Australia in the Grand Final. Go the Mighty All Blacks. ...

        ... and I'd already had to stop once because the sun cream was running into my eyes, I think we were all getting a bit sweaty.

        Les Saisies itself looks a bit bleak in the summer. The silent chairlifts are slightly eerie, and it seems like just one long strip. Anyway there was a restaurant, open, and they would serve us coffee even though it was lunchtime! It was actually very nice coffee and he cheapest one yet at only €2. Seemed like a bargain for a mountain ...
