... the car in an open sandy field about 150 metres back from the beach. Walked through a maze of houses to the beach, but oh dear, on the way back we got a bit lost and had trouble finding where we had parked. Had visions of sleeping on the beach. On entering the terminal building it is clear that this place never goes to sleep, there are people moving in all directions, new arrivals, transfers and departures all mixed in together. The organisation and facilities put any other airport I have visited to shame, this place is huge and busy ...

... great views. Cat pointed out that the front of it was glass so Ally then made her jump off at the next stop with him to run to the front of the carriage for a better view! We arrived at Dubai Mall (the largest in the world) and wandered around to see all the fancy shops, the aquarium & finally to the Burj Khalifa- the tallest building in the world. Roisin had booked us on to the "At the Top" experience so we set off on that ...
