... At least that's what's the sign said. Had sharks and everything in it. The Burj Kalifa is pretty amazing but I prefer The Shard I think, not sure why, think its because its so different to the other buildings around it and the Burj us surrounded by dozens of other sky scrapers. Keen to go inside but it costs a bomb which I didn't budget for. Thinking about it I better bail otherwise I'll end up blowing my weeks budget on shopping and we're out drinking ...

In Dubai stand die Sonne schon erbarmungslos am Himmel, als ich um 07:00Uhr (05:00Uhr in Deutschland) auf der Rollfeldtreppe wartete, um den nächsten Bus zu nehmen und unter 30°C litt.

... as the last 2 days 38c. We drove in our private car for 30 min along some impressive motorway systems, driving thru underpasses & overpasses tiled in pastel coloured designs, the buildings all very eye catching architecturally designed high rises, in all shades of white & cream concrete, a large Graffiti canvas but so pleasing not a single one was seen, wonderful. ... und einen Wasserfall. Ich glaub es waren vier Eintraege im Guiness Buch nebeneinander. Unter anderem das höchste Gebaeude der Welt (800 irgendwas Meter).. Ziemlich beeindruckend aber auch etwas stressig. Außer mit Taxi kann man sich nicht fortbewegen, einfach viel zu warm und sowieso keine Bürgersteige. Heute Abend geht's weiter nach Bangkok!

This is a good time to get into this giant mall as the crowds are nonexistent. In time we went to Madeleine`s Cafe for breakfast, then went shopping. Samsung were launching their new super TV and the colorful promotion took centre stage.

For lunch, we took the train (slick, sleek, modern, efficient) to Mall of the Emirates, which is another super shopping centre.

Christine and Suzie were taken to Asha`s Indian restaurant for lunch by Bethany ...
